The Nederland Community Center Site Plan Committee has chosen a final draft concept plan for developing the Center site over the next 25-30 years.  This plan will be recommended to the Board of Trustees at their February 18 meeting.  From there, the plan will follow the Nederland Planning Process before returning to the BOT for final action.

Nederland Community Center Foundation Position Available

The Nederland Community Center Foundation seeks a team-oriented individual to chair its Board of Directors.  We are looking for a person familiar with the programs and issues of the Nederland Community Center.  Candidates should have nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience.  Familiarity with social media is a plus.  This is a volunteer position. The Chair sets the agenda and conducts monthly meetings, communicates with board members, Community Center staff and Town staff, presents NCCF issues before the Board of Trustees, and represents the Foundation to other local, area and state organizations.  NCCF board members are an upbeat, effective team to work with.

The NCCF is a 501 (c)(3) charitable nonprofit whose mission is to advocate for the Community Center, raise funds for its projects and programs, and advise the Nederland Board of Trustees on general Community Center issues.  NCCF coordinates its efforts with Community Center and Town staff but does not deal with Center operations.  The seven-member NCCF board is appointed by, and reports to, the Nederland Board of Trustees.  Members should reside in the Nederland area but need not reside within the town limits.  The Board elects its own chair.

Interested parties should email Nederland Community Center Foundation at friends@nederlandcommunitycenter.org.
